Rebekah had a big day on her first Father's day. We spent the day with Erik's side of the family. Rebekah got to meet her cousins, Luke and Tyler, for the first time.

Three Months Old
Can you believe that Rebekah is three months old? The time is flying by so quickly. She had her three month birthday on June 15. A lot has happened since my last post. We celebrated my first Mother's Day and had Rebekah's baby dedication at church. Here is a pic of my sweet girl all dolled up. Isn't she cute??
Rebekah has also started to roll over. It was funny when she did it for the first time. I think she surprised herself. This is a before and after picture of her in action.
Sorry!!
I know it has been forever since I posted anything on the blog! Many of you have reminded me in a very nice way to keep posting pictures. Erik and I didn't have internet here at the house for about a month and a half. However, we are up and running now. I will try to be better about posting.

Diana, Will, and Wyatt!!
Rebekah finally got to meet our good friends, the Thompsons. They live in Myrtle Beach but came up to Clemson for the Spring Game. They were nice enough to drop by and visit with Rebekah on Friday night. She loved snuggling with her new friend, Wyatt. He is such a cute boy! He loved hanging out with "Baby Bekah." Everytime she cried, he would say, "Need Mama." Diana and I have thought about an arranged marriage, but we decided we would let the kids decide. :) Somehow, I didn't get a picture of Will holding Rebekah...sorry Will!
On Saturday morning, Rebekah had her first visit to Bowman field. It was a big day for her. We met the Thompsons for some fun on campus before they went to the Spring Game. Will, Erik, and Tybee went for a run. Diana and I kept the kids in their strollers and went for a walk. Wyatt decided that he needed to get out of his stroller to play. Thankfully, we found a frisbee to play with. Here is an action shot of Mr. Wyatt throwing the frisbee. He is a natural. We had such a great weekend. Thanks for coming to visit, Thompson family! Come back anytime. :)

Easter and Visitors
Rebekah loves to sit in her froggy bouncy seat. Her Aunt Dawn and Uncle Chris gave this seat to her. In the past few days, she has really started to focus on objects around her. She likes to stare at the toys that hang from the bar above her head. On Tuesday, she actually reached up and tried to touch the little turtle. She is very strong. She does a fairly good job of holding her head up. I don't think it will be too much longer before she attempts to roll over. She can already roll to her side, but she doesn't know what to do with her arm yet.
Lindsay came over to visit us on Wednesday. She took Rebekah and I out for a girls' lunch. We had a blast. Rebekah loves to snuggle with Mrs. Lindsay. Thanks for a fun afternoon!
Easter Sunday was Rebekah's first trip to church. We told Pastor Ken not to be offended that she slept through his sermon! She sleeps all the time. :) She had a precious Easter dress, which you can see in the picture above. She also had her newborn pictures taken in this dress. After church, we went to our friends' (Lis and Helen) house. These precious boys are their grandsons. The picture above shows Jack holding Rebekah. The picture below shows Jack, Heidi, and Sam with Rebekah. We are excited that Rebekah has so many great friends already.

Newborn Pictures
Rebekah had her newborn pictures taken about a week ago and we have gotten the proofs back! We had so much fun taking the pictures, and Rebekah cooperated most of the time. She is a natural and already knows how to pose. Our friends Michael and Heidi Bowman came over to take the pictures. They do an absolutely fantastic job. Also, they were very patient with my little girl. During the photo shoot, she pooped on their blanket and peed on her mother!! If you need pictures taken, you should definitely contact Michael. If you would like to see the pictures, go to http://www.michaelbowmanphoto.com/. Once you are there, click on proofing and the password is rebekahanne. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as Erik and I do.

Bathtime!!!
Rebekah had her first real bath at home on Saturday morning. Her umbilical cord finally fell off (thank goodness) on Friday afternoon, so we decided it was time to get out the infant tub. Rebekah loves bathtime!! She has a little froggie sponge that we lay on the counter. She loves it when we squirt the warm water all over her. Sometimes she even smiles just a little bit. After bathtime she gets wrapped up in one of her many hooded towels (thanks to everyone who gave them to us.) My favorite is her ducky towel. Check out the picture. She looks so cute! Once she is warm and dry she gets a little baby massage with lotion. Sounds like a pretty good life if you ask me!

Rebekah's Birth
Rebekah was born on Monday, March 15 at 9:20 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and was 19 inches long. The nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Francis Women's Hospital were WONDERFUL! The labor and delivery process was not nearly as scary as I had imagined. As soon as Rebekah was born, she was wide-eyed and ready to take on the world. Everyone was commenting about how alert and strong she was. By the time we were recovered and moved to our room, it was about 1:00. Mom and baby were VERY sleepy. Rebekah slept just fine, but for some reason, I couldn't sleep a wink. Maybe it had something to do with the 4 hour old infant in the bassinet beside me. :)
Rebekah had lots of visitors while she was at the hospital. One of our pastors, Jason Finley, came for a visit. Also, our small group members came for a brief visit. My friends, Heidi and April, came to see Miss Rebekah, too. They brought a cookie cake, which was a huge hit with me and the nurses.

While we enjoyed our stay at St. Francis, we were definitely ready to come home by Wednesday. Mom and baby got the okay from the doctors, so we loaded up and headed home around 3:00. Isn't she cute in her going home dress?? Grandma bought that dress for her long before she was born. The shoes were a little big, but girls have to accessorize! The outfit also had a hat, but it covered her entire face. That is where mom drew the line. :)

Welcome!!
Now that little Rebekah has joined our lives, Erik and I decided to start a blog so all of you can keep up with her growth. She has already changed so much from the day she was born. I will try to post pictures frequently. So far, there is not much news to report about Rebekah. She is your typical infant...eat, play, sleep, poop...etc. She is spoiled and has her daddy wrapped already! Here are a few pictures of our little snuggle bug.
